How much are you spending on brides maids gifts?
I am just wondering what an average amount to spend on them is? I don't want to go over the top; but at the same time I don't want to cheat them either. Also are you giving gifts to your mother and fathers?

- I got earring+necklace sets at Macy's on sale for about $20 for the bridesmaids. I also found a cute little change purse for a few dollars in our wedding colors. So overall about $25 on girls. We gave both sets of parents a very nice bottle of wine at the rehearsal dinner. The groomsmen got a bottle of liquor. Hope this helps!
- We did about $40-50 on each attendant, but we bought the girls their jewelry for the wedding day and the guys were given tshirts and hats of their favorite teams.
- About AU$75 for each. For jewellery, make up (to keep), champagne, a robe and tote. I plan to give a gift to mum as she has helped so much with this wedding (planned and paid). Her gift has no budget, just whatever is perfect for her.
- $120 on my bridesmaids gifts. Here is what they're getting. http://www.collectiblestoday.com/ct/product/prdid-1000072.jsp?_/_prod/_481/_/_12/_/_/_Y&endeca=true&abbr=jewl We will be getting our parents something as well. The question is what...
- about $125 (a coach wristlet and jewelry for the wedding). I think it's a little more than average, but most of my bridesmaids are going to be traveling from out of town and will be spending a lot of money to do so. I would say about $75 is average.
- I gave them a silver pendant to wear in the wedding (around $40) and paid for them to have their hair and make-up done (around $100). But they were my sisters, so that's a little different. We gave both sets of parents a framed engagement picture with a note thanking them for all their support, love, etc.
- I went through Overstock.com and found some great pearl jewelry sets that worked out to just under $50 per person (but their retail is about $90 per set). For someone who may have to spend a few hundred dollars to buy a dress, shoes, pay for hair & makeup, travel, attend a number of different events, and possibly help pay for bridal shower & bachelorette party, I think around $50 is a nice value for a gift. I think if you keep it under $20 you are being cheap unless the item is personal to each girl, you know she will love/treasure it, and it happens to be very affordable. We are undecided about gifts for our parents. Since only my Mom is contributing a bit to our wedding, if we do gifts we will keep them small and affordable.
