500 Wedding Ideas

Nuns are the 'brides of christ' and wear a wedding ring because they're married to Jesus. How about priests?

I don't think they'd be the grooms of christ because gay marriage isn't allowed in the catholic church. Nuns are called the brides of christ, but how about the men?

  4. why is god allowed to marry so many, but we are only allowed to marry one. he is not setting a good example for those who follow.
  5. They are teacher's(fathers) and their bride is the church. *doesn't completely make sense*
  6. Good question. The Catholics do not have a good answer. But then they never had any answers good enough for me. So I left the denomination but I have to give them credit for teaching me that there is a Christ and I have to say that they got one thing right in all their history. At least one thing. The Christ Jesus is our Saviour and He died on the cross to take away the sins of the world. But the rest? Heck! They've really convoluted the fundamental faith of Christianity now haven't they?
  7. How interesting. as a Protestant I have always been taught that the church is the bride of Christ.
  8. They molest little boys!
  9. Priests like little boys.
  10. A priest is married to Christ's Church. The take a vow to uphold the churches teaching and take a vow of celibacy, they are Mary's boys so-to-speak, and live the way Jesus lived on this earth, and walk in His footsteps. It is by their choice that they do this and they try to live a life of holiness. God bless you.
  11. They're the b*tches of Christ. You know, like in prison. In fact it's a whole lot like prison.
