500 Wedding Ideas

Ideas for 40th wedding anniversary and also for my sister's wedding photos?

I'm planning a 40th wedding anniversary party for my parents with no help from my brother and sister. It will be in June this year. I need help with it. I would to do scrapbooking or something with some my sister's wedding photo but don't what to do with them. Could some one help me please? I got some ideas but I need more.

  1. you should have a dinner party for them and have it be a 1940s theme or 60's since that is when they got married. as table cards/programs you can have funny and historical facts about the year they were married. also have friends and family bring a photo/copy of a photo of them with or without your parents- then have a book at the dinner where you can paste the photo and a special memory message from the guest. then at the end of the night, you can present it to your parents. OR have people send the photo and message before hand and make a slide show. You'll have to have self addressed envelopes for that, but they'll love it!
  2. Make a slideshow. I did it for my grandparents 50th and it was a big hit. I took photos before the wedding, the actual wedding and then them growing with their families. It was very simple.
