Did you get any really bad or funny wedding photos?

Or was there anything in your wedding photos or video that you didn't notice at the time that was funny?

  1. My husband is Greek so we had a 6-member Greek band play at our wedding. I did not want to Greek dance and tradition is the bride leads off - but I didn't, I made my husband go first and I would not take the lead for anything. In the video, I looked miserable as we kept dancing in a circle for nearly 30 minutes. To this day my husband watches it and cracks up.
  2. When I tossed the bouquet one of the girls actually dove for the bouquet - she pretty much cut all the girls off; she definitely wanted that bouquet. When the photographer was taking a photo of me and my friend who caught the bouquet I noticed that my friends were in the background and they looked really pissed with their hands on their hips and arms crossed. It made me laugh...I guess everyone really wants to catch the bouquet.
  3. Not at my wedding, but I was the photographer for my brother in laws 2nd wedding in 2001. It was in a park overlooking a lake. I was shooting away like crazy making sure I got all the important stuff. My brother in law has a son from his first marriage that was his ring bearer, and stood right next to him during the ceremony. I didn't catch it while I was taking the pictures, and didn't see it until I developed the film. But his 8 year old son, right as the officiant said you may now kiss your bride started sticking his finger in his mouth, and making fake gaging motions. I got a picture of the happy couple in their first kiss as man and wife as his son was "gaging" right behind him. I didn't say a word when I gave them the pictures, and just waited for the laugh. We still chuckle about it today.
  4. I have over thirty years in wedding photography, so here's a tip for guests at weddings. Don't wear black dresses. The flash usually goes right through most black material, showing your underwear or lack there of very clearly.
  5. We got married at the zoo, and so were taken around to some of the exhibits to have photos taken with the animals (the zoo was closed to the public at the time, so there were no extra people around). We stopped at the polar bear exhibit. The photographer posed us so that the polar bear was between us in the background. He was quite playful and there are great pictures of him rolling around, and one where he appears to be waving. That's the photo my husband keeps on his desk at work.
  6. This is from the wedding of my previous bosses' daughter and we only saw it on the video: When she threw the bouquet, a big bunch of her friends (all in their late 30s- early 40s) jumped in front like crazy to catch it and only one succeeded... Well, totally excited that she was, she turned triumphantly and gave the others the finger!!! It was so funny to watch this on the video, a grown woman all dressed up and...elegant 9well, up to that point), showing her enthusiasm like that!
