Should we take wedding photos after the fact?
My husband and I have been together for almost 5yrs now, married for 1yr 5mths. We had a very modest wedding at the Municipal Building, no photos were taken because our witness couldn't figure out how to work my camera. We've been told that we should have photos taken at a studio with rented tux and gown, in case we have to go in for an interview because they may want to see wedding photos. My question is, would they take those as serious evidence? Since they won't be pictures of the actual wedding but pictures taken after the fact.

- no before.
- probably not, but if you explain the situation then it might be easier.
- IT DEPENDS ON WHAT KIND OF COMPANY... but it is pretty nice actually to have something like that... it can remind you of who is boosting you up :) GOOD LUCK
- Who suggested this? A photographer? Anyone can pose for photos and that won't be used as evidence. Your marriage license will be.
- If I were you, I wouldn't want to take wedding pictures now that you are married...it's like deceiving the government about your marriage. It's completely unnecessary and sounds weird to me. If your marriage is legal, you don't have to worry. I'm sure you can show other pictures but you might not even have an interview...it depends on if you are chosen to have one after they review your petition for the removal of your conditional residency. Photos won't serve as sole evidence anyway, they have negligible role in proving you live in a lawful and genuine marriage cause like someone else has said it above me, anybody can take any kind of picture. Don't worry about this!
- Any photos are good, not just wedding photos. We took photos of our trip to Hawaii, and Christmas pictures at home. That being said, they weren't even going to look at the photo's because we had enough evidence already, mortgage, bills, bank account etc. I think if you have enough evidence, you won't need them. If you don't have enough, go ahead and get the pictures taken, but you probably better gather up some other evidence too. By themselves, I don't think they will be the difference maker either way.
- They just want to see picture of you together, especially with other family members. Photos of your husband and you at different stages of the relationship will work just fine! Don't worry about the wedding pictures!
- Is your marriage legitimate and not just for immigration purposes? If so, then take the photos to commemorate the event
- If you've already been together for 5 years, you probably have enough pictures of the two of you together. Plus you have a copy of your marriage license.
