How many of you brides were bridezillas?

No shame, no judgment, please be honest. In what ways were you a bridezilla?

  1. Well, I'm not even engaged yet. But, I could see myself being a bridezilla. When I get really stressed out, I tend to take it out on the people I care about the most (like my boyfriend). I think I'm just so comfortable with these people, that I can easily let go and "vent" so to speak. But, I could see my frustrations coming out and looking bridezilla.
  2. Haha, honestly, my mom was more of a bridezilla during the whole process, even though it was my wedding. lol Could be that we had roughly a month to plan everything as well as the fact that she just likes to be in control. :)
  3. I was very easy going about all the wedding stuff. The only thing I was a little bridezillaish about was the money thing. People kept giving me obscenely expensive suggestions, and I had to say thanks but I would never spend that much for one day. I refused so many peoples suggestions, from the dress, to decor, to floral arrangements because they seemed to think spending thousands on any single aspect of a wedding was something I should be willing to do because "It's your wedding day!!!"
  4. I was a little because of my scrooge tendencies. We had the caterer for 2 hrs and I couldn't afford more time, so I was trying to rush people from the ceremony to the reception so we could get moving and have everyone be able to eat and have them clean up in a short timeframe. I was trying to get people at the wedding to help move everybody along. I think they were all waiting for tons of family photos but we did the photos beforehand and the lighting in the church was awful. I had the people I wanted in the photos but hubbys entire extended family was hesitating after the ceremony thinking we were doing a bazillion photos for 2 hrs with them! But, we did them beforehand with the wedding party and closest relatives only - so it was a bit of a misunderstanding but they wanted it their way - but I had my own plans and didn't want to run out of time to have the guests eat! I did bend for my sister in law who insisted on a huge photo for their side of the family only - but I wanted that beforehand during the photoshoot time I set up - but alot of those people refused to go to my photoshoot. Yeah - we had conflict from day one!
  5. Not engaged...But i know I wouldn't be a bridezilla..I'd just want to do everything myself to make sure things are done right
