What venues provide the best destination weddings in jamaica?
I want to have a destination wedding in jamaica but I am undecided on what resort to choose. I'm only inviting no more than ten people to joy our wedding. Since I don't get to vacation much or spend a lot of money in a week, I want to make sure I choice the best place to enjoy my wedding. If you been to jamaica how was your experience.

- I was born there and lived on the island until 1978, so. I would look at resorts in Negril, Ocho Rios or run-away-bay. I would stay clear of Montego Bay.
- Sandals, Couples and Super Clubs all do weddings. I'm a fan of Sandals but have seen some mixed reviews on tripadvisor.com so I guess it's not for everyone. Love Jamaica. Agree with Bond about locations.
- coral cove resort in little bay jamaica. i'm getting married there in march, 2009. i've been researching this for a long time, and my fiance and i decided on this b/c it's intimate, small, and off the beaten path. if you don't like loud resorts that have weddings every hour (sandals), look into this place! there are only 12 or 13 rooms, so it's perfect for your guests. we're only bringing our parents and siblings (9 guests). it's an all-inclusive resort, so all meals, drink, and alcohol is included. so you don't have to worry about bringing lots of cash. our wedding, which includes photography, flowers, reception, massages, mani/pedi, videographer, decorations, ceremony, minister, band, all meals & drinks, and 4 nights in the honeymoon suite is around $4,000. if you're interested, read the reviews on trip advisor. there are lots of people that have gotten married there, and wrote wonderful things about it. also, if you email the resort, the respond very quickly. the staff is really helpful. congrats!
- I would definitely try and book something with Sandals in either Negril or Ocho Rios. If you don't want those areas, a reeeallly nice Sandals is Sandals Whitehouse European Village which is on the Southwest Coast. Beautiful resort, beautiful weddings and most of the time if you stay at least 7nights they'll give you a free wedding. Call and talk to a wedding coordinator on property and they should be able to give you all the information you need. Try calling 876-640-3000 and ask for reservations/wedding coordinator. Good luck!
- All of the major resorts in Jamaica do destination weddings. People love them because the resort does almost all of the work. They are so easy! Your decision is really about a resort that works for you and your group. If there are children in your group consider Starfish Trelawny. If not you should consider what you want in a resort. A resort that is great fun is Breezes Runaway Bay. The staff works hard to make sure everyone has fun. They require guests to be over 14 years old and are reasonably priced. The resort was recently completely redone so it is still very new. Go to TripAdvisor.com to research your resort. You will learn LOTS about resorts, the island, and each area of the island. Have a great wedding and the best of luck to you.
- born there and lived there up until 2 yrs ago.. out of all the resorts i've been to I loved sunset beach the most 1. Sunset beach hotel and resort in montego bay..very romantic/beautiful A Canadian favourite, the Sunset Beach Resort Spa has a terrific location minutes from the bustle and shopping of Montego Bay, featuring a pleasant open-air lobby which is a great gathering place. Located on its own white sand peninsula, there is an au naturel beach for the daring, and great facilities for the kids. A waterpark with slides, waterfalls, bridges, and a lazy river is fun for all ages. Location: On its own private peninsula, 15 minute drive from the airport, shopping and nightlife of Montego Bay. chk escapes.ca/hotel they give great reviews on most popular Jamaican resorts. GOOD LUCK!
