500 Wedding Ideas

How much would you charge an amatuer photographer for wedding photos?

Assuming they do the full day of wedding photography and touch-ups on photographs. They don't do the development but give you disc of at least 200 photographs.

  1. $500.
  2. i agree, 500
  3. Yes I think $500 would be fine since they aren't a professional.
  4. I agree. $500 sounds like a good price.
  5. I think 500 seems steep....does this person have references? what is their training? do they have samples of their work? I would say between $200 and $500, but no more than $500. Since the pictures are digital, all you are paying for is the person's time.
  6. a friend of mine did our pictures and he did just what your asking, we gave him $500. to me he's putting in at least a few days work (a full day at the wedding and a good amont of time doing touch ups) this is the same amount of work a pro would do, most of them don't use film anymore and have a company they send the digital copies to for printing. so at $500 your still saving at least $500 if not more. and most professional packages will include a few pictures, maybe an 8 by 10 and possible a small photo album, but not much. you still have to pay for your pics. check out www.mpix.com for printing your pics, they do a fab job (way better then walmart and cheap) as for photo album check out www.mypublisher.com you can do a really big coffee table book starting at about $60 and they run promotions all the tme good luck
  7. You don't charge the photographer whether it's a professional or amateur. They tell you how much it will cost you to have their service at your wedding and reception. Amateur or not the vendor sets the price and their fees.
