Do brides really make their bridesmaids look ugly or is it a myth ?

As suggested in Richard and Judie after all its gonna make the photos rubbish and make the bride look like shes got no taste.

4. Some do. But to be fair it is their big day, they don't want someone else stealing the show do they. I was a bridesmaid, the dress was nice but obviously the bride looked stunning. C xx
5. depends who ur bridesmaid for it doesnt really matter that much, the eyes should be on the bride mostly anyway
6. It depends on how much of a bridezilla the bride is. I think the bride should be the prettiest on her wedding day but the bridesmaids should still look good. My aunt looked beautiful on her wedding day. She picked out my bridesmaids dress and it was really pretty, wasnt my favorite but I didnt look ugly.

9. it all dpeedns on the bride if she wants all eyes on her then she should make everyone beautful but her still stand out b/c if you have major ugly bridesmaid gowns and its obvious then everyones eyes are on that not you and you man getting hitched.

11. No, brides are by definition beautiful, no matter what. Of course the opportunity to drive other people crazy by dictating what they wear occurs so rarely (for people who aren't parents, that is) that the temptation proves too much for some people.

14. um most brides dont do this but then again when i was a bridesmade for my bro and sis in law she chose the most ugliest, unflattering dresses she couldve picked. she done that cause shes a really insecure person. so we now have photos of me and her sis in pale blue monstrosities. she just chose the pale blue cause it didnt suit either me or her sis.
15. Some brides do actually do this. I find it very distastful because not only will the bride be surrounded by badly dressed people, but it will be a reflection of her personality. Many times the bridesmaid dress is a bit more plain than the bride's dress, obviously the bride should stand out more; but this doesn't mean the dress has to be ugly. A kind and thoughtful bride will take into consideration what will look flattering on the girls in the wedding party.
