At what age should I expect to attend the most weddings?

I'm 21 now and I've only attended two weddings in my entire life. I love everything about them! I always hear about people on yahoo answers planning their weddings and attending them. In the movies, people are always going as well. I realize I'm still quite young, and so are all of my friends, but what is the average age that I should expect the people I know to start getting married? I guess a more appropriate way to ask this question would be: What is the average age for marriage nowadays?

  1. Not sure, it probably varies. I am 26 now and the last two years have been filled with weddings, including my own. Many of my friends have 5 years on me though. When you get closer to marrying age, chances are your cousins and siblings and friends will be taking steps towards marriage too. In North America, the average age for a first time bride or groom is between 26-29, on the lower end for brides, and the higher end for grooms.
  2. The average age for a first wedding is 27 for a woman. The average age for a second wedding is 34 for a woman. I went to a lot of weddings when I was 26 and 27. Many people wait until they finish college or graduate school and get a job before getting married.
  3. If your Mexican always:P
  4. The height of your wedding attending (and gift buying!) will be during your mid-20's through mid-30's. The wedding attending will be followed by a period of baby showers. Then you will get to rest until the period when your friends children get married and you are invited as the friends of the parents/family, usually during your 50's-60's. There can of course be the occasional wedding of a co-worker in between.
  5. I'm finding that people are getting married at 27-30 years of age. My fiance's sister went to 4 weddings this year. She and her friends are 29ish. I'm marrying at 24 so I'm like the baby.
  6. I went to the most weddings in my 20's and 30's.
