Should I ship a bridal shower gift to the brides address or to mine?
Should I ship the gift to the brides address on the registry or to my own? If I ship it to my own I can bring it with me to the bridal shower. Not sure what most people do in this circumstance.

- It's completely up to you. I recently went through a future sister in laws wedding. And she had some things mailed right to her and others she got at the shower and wedding. She didn't seam offended, and I personaly wish I thought of it! So just depends if you want to wrap it and see her reaction or mail it to her. I did find people didn't want to come empty handed though. So if you do mail it consider buying something small to bring on the day of. A funny thing I saw was an aunt mailed her new pots and pans, then at the shower brought a wrapped box full of ugly second hand store pots and pans as a joke. :)
- If the gift is for a shower, have it shipped to you so that you can bring it to the shower and she can open it at the party.
- If you're attending the shower, then of course you should ship the gift to yourself so you can wrap it and bring it for the bride to open. The only reason you would have the gift shipped direct to the bride is if you weren't attending the wedding, because if you weren't attending the shower no gift is necessary. Some people choose to ship their gift direct to the bride even if they are attending the wedding, because then you don't have to haul a gift bag to the reception, and the bride and groom don't have to pack their car with gifts at the end of the night to take home. I got a lot of wedding gifts shipped to my house last year instead of people bringing them to the wedding, because we got married 5 hours from home so my car was packed with enough stuff to bring home!
- Have the gift shipped to YOU and bring it with you to the shower. The shower may not be taking place at the bride's home and you don't want the bride to have to schlep your present all over town for her shower. Also, the address that she has on the registry may not be her address - maybe all wedding gifts are being shipped to the groom's place, or to his or her parents', because that just happens to be more convenient.
- if its a small gift and you want to give it to the bride yourself, then ship it to yours.if its large or very bulky, then to the brides
- Ship it to yourself.
- If you live out of town then you should ship it to the address on their gift registration. If you live in town and you need the gift shipped because your store doesn't have it, that it is find for you to ship it to your house and bring it with you to the bridal shower. You should know that if you bring a gift to the shower you are not required to get a second gift for the wedding.
