  1. Probably this one (: http://www.bestbuy.ca/en-CA/product/nikon-nikon-coolpix-l120-14-1mp-digital-camera-black-l120-black/10164976.aspx?path=6b4639733b1a3678e00dbea7d7bbb13een02 Answer mine ? http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=Apm_3zKOFY8kWKoXUEOs58jsy6IX;_ylv=3?qid=20110422211205AAGqCRb
  2. Is this right? You have NO camera and a friend wants you to shoot their wedding? As long as their expectations match your abilities, then any P&S with a 3x optical zoom should be just fine NOTE: Wedding photographers do NOT use "affordable" cameras. Many of my colleagues who shoot weddings use cameras that cost from $5,000 to $7,000 and three lenses that can cost over $5,000 in total. Being overwhelmed is NOT a good place to be when shooting ANY assignment but especially weddings
  3. Look for something manufactured by Canon, Nikon, or Sony with at least 8 MP and probably greater than a 3x optical zoom. Also look for one that specifically states that it has Image Stabilization! This will help make your pictures clearer. I love my Sony but my friends say great things about their Nikon and Canon cameras as well. All of these should take quality pictures, but do not expect completely professional results in that price range. You would need a DSLR for that and those run closer to the $500 mark. Good luck, and I hope you find something that works for you! Try the camera out in store and make sure that you can figure it out easily too, as you'll need to get acquainted with all of the features.
  4. You're not doing her wedding album? A Sony Cybershot should be good enough. Get the best color that matches your eyes or the bride's theme.
  5. Let me get this straight - you know nothing about cameras (& therefore by implication, how to manually work them), or photography (you love it, ok, but you don't know anything about exposure & lighting) and you are shooting a friends wedding? I just don't believe this! You cannot do a wedding with a point & shoot camera & get good results - at best, your shots will be no better than any of the guest's. I suspect after this wedding, when your friend sees the results, she's unlikely to still be your friend.
