how much money should I charge brides to attend my bridal expo?
I am hosting my first exclusive bridal show, and I was wondering how much I should charge my brides who want to attend? We have incurred some cost to make the event special. I have a lot of great vendors coming and special prizes and giveaways.

- You shouldnt be charging like that. They should be able to get in for free, then you get a percentage of anything they sign up for from the vendors
- Well.....obviously it will all come out on paper. You will have to work the numbers to make that decision. If you want to make some profit on it, add on a percentage mark up. Usually, you charge the vendors and let the brides come for free. Also, the gifts are usually sponsored by the vendors. But it sounds like you went the other route. Maybe you will have to charge both the brides and the vendors.
- hi, charging keeps the time wasters down... you need to consider your catchment area. How affluent are they and the quality of your facilities. so it can be £5 or £25. but without the full information on date, venue location, number and type of vendors (and by type I mean quality) it is impossible to say. Look to other local shows if you can for a guide.
- That is not how it works. You do not generally charge the brides to come to a bridal exposition. What you do is to figure out your expenses and then charge the vendors to come and show their wares or services at the expo. The vendors have the opportunity to advertise themselves and a chance to make some sales or do business. This is their reward. Why would brides pay you to come and see what they can see in a magazine or by going through the phone book. Since others do not charge them why would they go where they must pay to get in. You want them to come. Your vendors want them to come. If it's free, they will come... not so much if they have to pay.
- You should be charing the vendors who are displaying at your expo--NOT the brides who will be attending. I work in a bridal salon, and our store has participated in bridal expos in the past. We are ALWAYS charged to participate, it's usually a flat fee for how ever much space we want. If we want to host a bridal fashion show, then we pay for that as well. Brides always get in free to any bridal expo I've been involved with, and I've worked in the industry for well over 15 years.
