Is it a good idea to ask our grooms men/brides maids?
To take dance lessons with us? We are planning to take swing lessons for our wedding reception. 3 of our brides maids/ grooms men are couples. We thought since this is the case that we could ask them to take lessons with us, & perhaps the couples could have a dance together at the reception. Is this too much? What is your in-put?

- I think that's a great idea. The lessons can be more interesting with friends, and you all learn how to dance. I would defiantly go for it.
- Well nothing is stopping you from asking! They can say no if they want, but it sounds like a fun idea.
- That sounds like a great idea!
- are you going to pay for the lessons for them? Are they expensive? Tuxes for gromsmen and a bachelor party and gifts usually runs a couple hundred dollars. Dresses showers and bacholorette parties hair and gifts usually runs them closer to 500 bucks depending on costs. Asking to ad like another 100 or so to that i think is asking too much. Also I dont think it would make a good pridal party gift either since it would be somtheing you would want them to do.
- You can ask, but I wouldn't expect them to oblige.
- If you and the groom pay for the lessons, it's quite reasonable. If you want THEM to pay for the lessons, then it is unreasonable.
- It's a great idea, but you should pay for it. Check around and see if you can find anyplace that offers them for free. I did a website check and found a place in the major city near us that does them free one night a week and offers a variety of dances to learn.
