Why are Philippines women the largest cultural group of mail order brides for American society?

I was doing research on mail order brides and found that even in other countries from the Philippines are Philippines mail order brides. In Hong Kong, Malaysia, Indonesia and Singapore. They all claimed to be Philippians. These ads out number Russians and Latina by the 1000's. Why are Philippines women the largest cultural group of mail order brides for American society? In order words, why is the Philippines women so hard up for American men?

1. They are not hard up for american men. They just want to get out of the Philippines. There is a lot of poverty in the Philippines, so when a family member leaves to work abroad, he or she can send money home for the rest of the family.
2. Their culture doesn't protect them or give them other options in life? I don't think anyone wants to be a mail order bride. I think the are "hard up" on luck, not for American men.
3. It is because they want to uplift their family from the mud of poverty and the best solution for them is to find a foreign husband like American men...
