Public Comments

  1. The bride.
  2. The person who is paying makes all final decisions. So if the groom wants the wedding to be 65 miles away? Then he needs to pay for the wedding himself. Many brides and grooms pay for their own weddings. If they pay for it themselves, they can do it their way. If bride and groom accept financial assistance from parents, then they must also be willing to accept parental input on the planning. Why does dad get the final decision in this case? Because if dad's input is not appreciated, he can withdraw his offer of financial assistance at any time.
  3. The bride and groom have the final say. While it's very generous of the bride's family to contribute to the wedding, it's not their wedding, so they don't get to dictate where and how the money is spent.
  4. The Bride should rethink marrying this guy he is very selfish and unreasonable. he does seem to care at all about the Bride's needs.
  5. Well you both should be in complete agreement about a venue. Marriage is all about compromise. If you cant do that now, you'll never be able to when your married. If a compromise cannot be reached then I guess the party who is paying could make the ultimate decision. Though if it comes to this, maybe your groom will decide to back out. If thats the case, neither of you are ready for marriage.
  6. The bride and her dad. Driving isn't going to hurt the grooms family. If he is pulling this now what is he like to live with. We just went to one and drove over 100 miles and it was my son's nephew. We were closer that any of the grooms family so that's the way the ball bounces.
  7. The bride or whoever is paying for the wedding-so in this case, the bride and her family. Because his family is not paying that money can be used for travel.
  8. The bride and her family who are paying for the wedding are the ones who get to decide. However, if the groom insists, then he pays for the wedding. No other choices. 65 little miles? And that means HER family would have to drive instead? Don't marry someone like this. Your life will be miserable. What a selfish individual!!!
