What do brides typically get for their mom as a thank you gift for their wedding?
I am getting married soon & I am wondering what to get my mom for my wedding. She is helping with our wedding a bit. I was thinking of getting her the "mother" handkerchief & of course a mom's photo album (once we get it from the photographer). I feel like I need to do more. Any suggestions?

- I've never heard of this before. I would say the wedding album with the photos would be sufficient. Money is really tight and I don't think she expects to receive a "gift" necessarily from you right now.
- We are getting each set of parents a gift certificate to Bed and Breakfast online. This site allows you to purchase gift certificates to thousands of bed and breakfasts all over the country (US). Then they can decide where they want to visit. We got each set a $200 gift certificate so were hoping that covers atleast 2 nights. Our parents have become friends over the years so we assume they'll probably vacation together, which will be a nice wind down after our wedding that they are all helping so much with.
- The handkerchief is a little in-personable. Maybe a beautiful mom necklace
- My mom is out-of-state and coming in for the wedding. She is also on fixed income so rather than her paying to stay in the motel, we are paying for her to stay in a Bed & Breakfast for 3 nights.
- I'm doing the same thing. I found a beautiful battenburg lace Mother's hankie with embroidery. I haven't found the perfect photo album yet.
- Not sure if you are already doing this but maybe get Mom or whatever you like embroidered on the handkerchief? Also, for something extra I think a piece of jewellery she can wear the day of is always nice. That way she has something from the wedding day she can wear again that reminds her of the amazing day! My sister just got married and she gave my mom a bracelet with sapphires and diamonds. It was nothing too fancy but beautiful with her dress and she will wear it again. Swarovski has some really nice pieces that aren't too expensive. I bought my sister one of their bracelets as a wedding gift! Hope that helps!
- I think that's great. When my daughter got married, she got me a mini photo album that was made with white satin and had pearls sewn on it. She got some free wedding photos and gave those to me as well. She also gave me a photo frame that can either hang on the wall or go on a table and it's one of those where you put in three 5X7 photos. Of course, I used the album and the frame for her wedding photos. When our son got married, he & his wife gave us a nice 8X10 frame that was personalized with our name on the bottom of the frame. I think they got it from that store Things Remembered, which also has an on-line store, so you might want to check them out. They have alot of nice things and you can find items on sale that are reasonably priced. Congrats on your wedding!
- If you have any engagement photos, you can put an engagement photo in a photo frame and give that to her. Maybe also a jewelry box with the wedding dates engraved on it. A gift certificate to the spa. A nice bottle of wine.
