Best 35mm film for medium light inside church for wedding photos?

I will be using a Canon EOS RebelX S to shoot some wedding photos and was wondering which ISO film would be best for medium lighting such as that in a church. This camera also has the built in flip up style flash. Would I be better using the separate type of flash that attaches to the top of the camera? Any suggestions would be great. Thanks.

  1. ISO 400 film with a real flash would be a good bet. If you have a fast lens, like f/2.8, 2.0 or faster, that would help. And don't forget a good sturdy tripod...
  2. Kodak's Portra 400 NC would be a good choice. Definitely get an external flash. The built-in flash is virtually useless (and ugly) for a wedding. You didn't mention the kind of lens you're using. But Sam is right - a nice 2.8, mid-range zoom would be nice. Maybe the Nikkor or Sigma 24-70, 2.8. BTW, I hope - indeed I think we ALL hope! - that you're not the official paid photographer if this is an indication of what you know about photography.
