What is the job called where you work in a bridal store helping brides pick out there dresses?
What is the actual job title? And do you need a college degree or any special training to get this job?

- bridal consultant. No you don't need a college degree but it would be good to have some other experience in retail.
- your wondering if you need a degree to pick out dresses???? im going to guess NO. It's a bridal consultant. A place like David's Bridal or something would probably want you to have retail experience, maybe to be a manager at a place like that they may want you to have a 2 year degree in business management.
- its a bridal consultant. im pretty sure you don't need a college degree for that
- It is an image or fashion consultant with a specialization in bridal ware. Although you wouldn't need a degree, there is training available that help you learn about body types, recognizing someone's personal style and concealing body flaws. Your employer may provide you all the training you need but college classes always helps you get the better jobs with higher pay. You can take business classes so that you might be promoted to manager of the store or own a bridal boutique. My close friend is a fashion consultant at an high-end boutique. She is amazing at picking out the right clothing for anyone. She did a lot of self-study. She read tons of fashion, watched serious fashion television shows, and took business and marketing classes. She became the manager after a very short time. It's confusing, in a bridal store they are called bridal consultants but most of the time people think of bridal consulting as coordination of the wedding details. Update: Called my friend and she said that wardrobe consultant is another title for what she does. She said that training in color choice is important. There are many variations even in the color of bridal gowns and knowing which colors look good on which skin tones is important.
